THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF STARTUPS AND THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INNOVATION IN THE SCOPE OF BASIC SANITATION BRAZIL

Description

The article aims to outline the relationship between startups, innovation processes and basic sanitation in Brazil. Firstly, an overview of the basic sanitation services in the country was presented, along with the regulatory framework and the central axis in defining programs, actions, and investment strategies, with an evaluation of the results achieved by the public policy being developed. Subsequently, the contextualization of the fundamental elements of startups and the models for promoting innovation adopted by Brazilian state-owned companies were established, while presenting the practices and projects aimed at improving basic sanitation through innovation and the public procurement system, which are identified as essential tools for inducing the development and expansion of the essential service that is basic sanitation. For the organization of the study, the bibliographic research method was adopted by conducting a survey of scientific literature, compiling works published in journals, specialized books, and scientific databases, which was carried out through descriptive and quantitative research aimed at describing, analyzing, and verifying the relationship between startups and innovation opportunities, in order to investigate the causes and consequences of the innovation process as a driver of national sanitation development.
