Echinomuricea cuddalorensis Fernando 2011

Description

Echinomuricea cuddalorensis Fernando, 2011 (species status uncertain)

Echinomuricea cuddalorensis Fernando, 2011: 44, pl. 21, fig. 1–1c (Cuddalore): Fernando et al. 2017: 91, pl. 40, fig. 1–1c (Cuddalore).

Opinion: This species does occur in the region.

Justification:

Literature analysis: This species was originally described from the region without a detailed description of the sclerites or the arrangement of those in the polyp, so it is impossible to recognise it. Until the genus is revised any synonymic status cannot be assessed.
