Description
Significant modifications in the economic, social, ideological and political sphere of the Republic of Moldova have also influenced the crime among minors phenomenon. Despite a stabilization and even a decrease in official indicators characterizing the state of the crime of attracting minors to criminal activity or their determination to commit immoral acts in the last five years, however, for the most part, the situation in this area remains extremely alarming with the trend of worsening.
The acquisition of antisocial behavioural stereotypes by minors is largely due to the reproductive effect of crime and its harmful manifestations already beyond the adolescence period. Unlike “mature” crime, juvenile delinquency is based on a complicated system of determinants, which is characterized by a high level of activity and dynamism. What worries is that much of it remains latent. For these reasons, greater attention must be paid to measures to prevent the given type of crime.
