Diadocidiidae Winnertz 1863

Description

Diadocidiidae Winnertz, 1863

Type genus. Diadocidia Ruthe, 1831

The extant family Diadocidiidae includes only the type genus, Diadocidia, with 23 described species and a large number of undescribed species from different parts of the world. Subgenera have been proposed for the genus, but they are not of unanimous acceptance in the literature. The extant species of the genus are quite homogeneous, without much variation in the morphology among the species of different parts of the world.
