Pipistrellus dormeri

Description

Pipistrellus dormeri (Dobson, 1875). Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1875:373.

TYPE LOCALITY: India, Mysore, Bellary Hills.

DISTRIBUTION: NW, S and E India, Pakistan, perhaps Taiwan.

SYNONYMS: caurinus.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Scotozous. Sometimes placed in a separate genus, Scotozous; see Tate (1942«:259) and Corbet and Hill (1980:68); but also see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951:162-163) and Corbet (1978c:51).
