DISTRIBUTION: Madagascar.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

SYNONYMS: edwardsi, phaiops, princeps.

COMMENTS: See Bergmans (1990). Commonly cited from "E. Geoffroy, 1803. Cat. Mamm. Mus. Nat. Hist. Nat. Paris, p. 47.", but this work was never published, see Appendix I.
