Epomophorus wahlbergi

Description

Epomophorus wahlbergi (Sundevall, 1846). Ofv. Kongl. Svenska Vet.-Akad. Forhandl. Stockholm, 3(4):1 18.

TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Natal, near Durban.

DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon to Somalia, south to Angola and South Africa (Liberian record probably erroneous); Pemba and Zanzibar Isis.

SYNONYMS: haldemani, neumanni, stuhlmanni, zenkeri.

COMMENTS: Reviewed by Acharya (1992, Mammalian Species, 394).
