Microtus sikimensis

Description

Microtus sikimensis (Hodgson, 1849). Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 2, 3:203.

TYPE LOCALITY: India, Sikkim.

DISTRIBUTION: Himalayas from W Nepal east through Sikkim, Bhutan, to S and E Xizang (Tibet; Feng et al., 1986).

SYNONYMS: thricolis.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neodon, a member, along with irene, of the sikimensis species group sensu Zagorodnyuk (1990). Geographic distribution is parapatric on E Tibetan Plateau with A4, irene (see that account).
