TYPE LOCALITY: Chile, Tierra del Fuego, Straits of Magellan.
DISTRIBUTION: Gulf of San Matias, Argentina, to the Chilean side of the Straits of Magellan, Falkland Isis., S. Georgia Isis., and Kerguelen Isis..
PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Cetacea.
