DISTRIBUTION: Culion Isl. (Philippines).
COMMENT: Listed as a species by Corbet and Hill, 1980:172, and Alcasid, 1969, Checklist of Philippine Mammals, Manila Nat. Mus., Philippines, p. 29. Closely related to, and probably best considered, a subspecies of muelleri (LRH).
