Nycticeius schlieffeni (Peters, 1860). Monatsb. Preuss. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, p. 223.
TYPE LOCALITY: Egypt, Cairo.
DISTRIBUTION: S.W. Arabia; Egypt to Somalia to Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa, and Namibia; Mauritania and Ghana to Sudan and Tanzania.
COMMENT: Includes cinnamomeus; see Koopman, 1975, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 154:412-413.
