Description
Arctocephalus pusillus (Schreber, 1776). Saugethiere, 3: text to pl. 85.
TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Cape Prov., Cape of Good Hope.
DISTRIBUTION: S.W. Africa from Angola to Cape of Good Hope; S. E. Australia; Tasmania.
COMMENT: Includes doriferus and tasmanicus; see Repenning et al., 1971, Antarct. Res. Ser., 18:1 -34.
PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Arctocephalus spp.
