Specimens examined. JAPAN: [Hokkaido] 1 F (holotype), Sapporo City, Maruyama, 12 Jun. 1927, Takahashi leg. (SEHU); 1 F, Jozankei, 26 May 1967, K. Kusigemati leg. (SEHU); 1 F, Mt. Description. Female (n = 4). Body length 11–12 mm, polished and covered with punctures and silver setae.

Head 0.6 × as long as wide. Clypeus 2.0–2.2 × as broad as high, sparsely punctate, slightly convex in lateral view. Face 2.0–2.05 × as broad as high, densely punctate (Fig. 6 B), convex medially in lateral view. Malar space 0.45–0.5 × as long as basal mandibular width. POL 1.9–2.0 × as long as OD. OOL 1.45–1.65 × as long as OD. Vertex with short setae, ca. 1.2 × as height as lateral ocellus in lateral view. Antenna with 32–33 flagellomeres. FL I 4.0 × as long as maximum depth and 1.55 × as long as FL II.

Mesosoma densely punctate. Epomia absent. Speculum with or without a small smooth area. Mesosternum with long and dense setae, ca. 1.0 × as long as maximum depth of FL I in lateral view. Propodeum with posterior transverse carina largely absent except for short, trace-like ridge. Fore wing length 9.0– 9.5 mm. Areolet received vein 2m-cu distant (ca. 3.0 × width of 2m-cu) of the outer angle. Nervellus intercepted at middle. Hind femur 5.6–5.7 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Ratio of length of hind first to fifth tarsomeres 4.1: 2.0: 1.3: 0.8–0.9: 0.95–1.0. Hind second tarsomere 4.0–4.5 × as maximum depth. Tarsal claws pectinate.

Metasoma. T I 1.3–1.5 × as long as maximum width, punctate except for smooth areas on apex, median longitudinal area and base. T II 0.85–0.9 × as long as maximum width. T II to T V finely punctate and partly with minute transverse striae. Ovipositor sheath 1.5–1.75 times as long as hind tibia.

Coloration (Figs 6 A, B). Body (excluding wings and legs) black. Clypeus except for dorsal margin, mandible except for teeth, palpi and flagellum reddish yellow. Dorso-lateral corner of pronotum and tegula yellowish brown. Each posterior margin of metasomal tergites narrowly tinged with red. T II and T III reddish yellow to red. Ovipositor reddish brown. Wings hyaline. Veins and pterostigma brown. Legs reddish brown to yellowish brown except for black coxae and white hind second to fifth tarsal segments (base of second tarsomere more or less darkened).

Male (n = 2). Similar to female. Body length 10.5–11.4 mm. Face 2.0–2.2 × as broad as high. POL 1.4–1.7 × as long as OD. OOL 1.6–1.8 × as long as OD. Antenna with 37–38 flagellomeres. Fore wing length 8.3–9.0 mm. Hind femur 5.3 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Ratio of length of hind first to fifth tarsomeres 3.6–4.0: 2.0: 1.4: 0.9: 1.2. Hind second tarsomere 5.0 × as maximum depth. Tarsal claws simple. Metasoma. T I 1.4–1.5 × as long as maximum width.

Coloration (Figs 7 A, B). Similar to female. Tegula and wing base yellow. Basal part of tibiae paler than female. T III and T IV reddish brown to red.

Distribution. Japan (Hokkaido and Honshu). Outside Japan, this species has been recorded from Russia, China and Korea (Yu et al. 2016; Kang et al. 2020).

Bionomics. Host unknown. Adults were collected in May and June in Japan.

Remarks. This is the first record of the male of this species.
