Description

Holaspulus tenuipes (Berlese, 1904)

Holostaspis (Holaspulus) tenuipes Berlese, 1904: 266.

Macrocheles tridentifer Ewing, 1913: 114. Synonymy by Hennessey & Farrier (1988).

Parholaspis pachylaelapsoides Schweizer in Holzapfel, 1932: 366. Synonymy by Evans (1956).

Holaspulus tenuipes.— Evans, 1956: 354; Quintero-Gutiérrez & Halliday, 2021: 424.

Material examined: Four females, Rasht, Jirdeh Village, 37°12’43”N 49°32’51”E, 22 m, litter, April 2019; 3 females, Rasht, 37°11’47”N 49°39’9”E, 26 m, wood sorrel, Oxalis acetosella L. (Oxalidaceae) leaves, November 2018; five females, Bijar Boneh Village, 37°18’10”N 49°39’10”E, - 6 m, soil, April 2019.

Habitat and distribution in Iran: Isfahan Province, soil and litter; Mazandaran Province, soil, litter and humus (Ramezani & Nemati, 2010; Kazemi et al., 2012; Kazemi & Rajaei, 2013; Kazemi et al., 2014; Saberi et al., 2016; Nemati et al., 2018; Ghasemi & Hajizadeh, 2021).

World Distribution: Switzerland, U.S.A. (Hawaii), U.K. (London), Mexico, Japan, Philippines. Holotype for H. tenuipes: Italy, Florence, debris in greenhouse. For M. tridentifer: U.S.A., Minnesota, greenhouse. For P. pachylaelapsoides: Switzerland, Berne Botanic Gardens, plant nursery (Quintero-Gutiérrez & Halliday, 2021).
