Análise da contribuição do som para a energia dissipativa em uma colisão inelástica

Resumo:

No estudo da queda livre costuma-se desprezar as energias dissipativas decorrentes do atrito, energia térmica e sonora durante a colisão quando a partícula atinge o solo. Apresentamos um método para efetuar medidas experimentais da contribuição da dissipação devida ao som em uma colisão elástica. Utiliza-se a técnica de videoanálise para obter a posição da partícula com o uso do software Tracker e, para a captação e análise do som produzido durante as colisões, usa-se o software Audacity, sendo ambos softwares livres. Os cálculos efetuados a partir das medições apresentam resultados convincentes em termos proporcionais quando comparados com outros observáveis no experimento. O método aplicado mostrou-se adequado quanto a precisão exigida, porém a execução do experimento eviden- ciou possibilidades de aperfeiçoamento na etapa das medições.

Abstract:  In the study of free fall, it is usual to neglect dissipative energies resulting from friction, thermal and sound energy during the collision when the particle hits the ground. We present a method for making experimental measurements of the contribution of sound in an elastic collision. The videoanalysis technique is used to obtain the position of the particle, by the using Tracker software, and for the capture and sound analysis, by the Audacity software. Both of then are free software. The calculations performed from the measurements present convincing results in proportional comparative terms when confronted with other experimental observables. The applied method demonstrated to be adequate in terms of the required precision, even though the execution of the experiment has shown possibilities for improvement in the measurement step.
