Etymology. The specific name refers to the deeply furcated hypandrium.

Remarks. This new species is somewhat similar to Chrysotimus nepalensis sp. nov. in having the dark coxae, but may be separated from the latter by the black palpus and deeply furcated hypandrium. In C. nepalensis, the palpus is dark brownish yellow, and the hypandrium is not furcated.
