Remarks. This species, described from Singapore, was found at low to middle elevations in Sumatra, and was previously known from middle elevations in East Java (Endang et al. 2002). The Sumatran specimens are clearly conspecific with those from Java, in having a subgenital plate with a short, rounded posterior lobe on which the sclerotisation differs from that of S. magnus Smithers & Thornton, from New Guinea.
