Stegana (Steganina) otocondyloda Wu, Gao & Chen, 2010, sp. nov.

Description

Stegana (Steganina) otocondyloda sp. nov.

(Figs 23–28)

Diagnosis. This species is very similar to S. (S.) ancistrophylla sp. nov. in the characters of male terminalia, but can be differentiated from it by having the tenth sternite deeply bilobed ventrally, narrowing basolaterally, curved dorsad on distal approximately 1/3 (Fig. 24), the gonopods slightly protruded apically in ventral view (Figs 27, 28), and the aedeagal opening (gonopore) slightly round in ventral view (Fig. 25).

Description. Male and female: Pedicel almost yellow. Mesonotum black medially, yellowish brown laterally. Basisternum brown. Scutellum black medially, yellow at tip and basal corners. Fore femur distally with 7–8 thick setae on anteroventral surface. All abdominal sternites brown, 1.8 times as broad as wide. Male terminalia: Epandrium with approximately 21 setae near posterior to ventral margin on each body-side (Fig. 23). Hypandrium round anteromedially (Fig. 25). Articulating-toaedeagus plate strongly sclerotized, with several serrate processes distally (Figs 25, 26). Gonopods strongly sclerotized, apically slightly curved dorsad, laterally curved anteriod, with numerous, minute serrate processes distally and 1 process submedially on each side (Figs 27, 28).

Measurements. BL = 3.44 mm in the holotype (range in 2331♀ paratypes: 3.80–3.90 mm in 33, 3.90 mm in ♀), THL = 2.05 mm (1.94–2.18 mm in 33, 2.08 mm in ♀), WL = 3.10 mm (3.10–3.30 mm in 33, 3.08 mm in ♀), WW = 1.60 mm (1.60–1.75 mm in 33, 1.48 mm in ♀), arb = 9/6 (7/5–10/6), avd = 0.83 (0.73–0.83), adf = 1.20 (1.22–1.50), flw = 1.60 (1.44–1.88), FW/HW = 0.38 (0.43–0.44), ch/o = 0.24 (0.19–0.27), prorb = 1.15 (1.06– 1.73), rcorb = 0.50 (0.75), vb = 0.43 (0.43–0.47), dc1 = 0.54 (0.53–0.58), presct1 = 0.71 (0.59–0.74), sct1 = 1.65 (1.60), sterno = 0.96 (0.79–0.81), orbito = 1.38 (1.67), dcp = 0.16 (0.20–0.24), sct1p = 1.92 (1.77–2.40), C = 1.93 (1.74–1.75), 4c = 1.10 (1.19–1.20), 4v = 1.75 (1.86–2.00), 5x = 1.62 (1.43–1.57), ac = 17.30 (18.40–21.50), M = 0.53 (055), C3F = 0.82 (0.79–0.83).
