Japanagromyza duchesneae (Sasakawa)

Japanagromyza duchesneae: Sasakawa, 1958: 139.

Remarks. This is a leafminer of Duchesnea indica Focke (Rosaceae) and also of Potentilla sp. The male and female genitalia of this species are very similar to those of Japanagromyza tristella (Sasakawa 1961: Figs. 17 and 20). But, these two species belong to the different species-group by color of the halter and shape of the larval posterior spiracle as noted in the key.

Distribution. Japan; Taiwan, Thailand (new record), Vietnam (new record), Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea.
