Description

Phenacoccus Cockerell, 1893

Type species Pseudococcus aceris Signoret.

The genus Phenacoccus is one of the biggest genera in the family Pseudococcidae. It includes more then 180 species, distributed in all geographic regions (Ben-Dov, 1994). The most recent information about Palaearctic species of the genus can be found in the reviews of Danzig (2003, 2006), including descriptions, figures, keys, etc.
