Description

Maxchernes sp. (aff. iporangae Mahnert & Andrade, 1998)

BUENOS AIRES: Necochea, Parque Lillo, 3.III.2009, A. Porta leg., 1 Ƥ (MHNG), under bark of living Eucalyptus sp.

Note. The unique female possesses most characters of M. iporangae from Brazil (Sao Paulo), but has 6 (right) and 7 (left) smooth setae on the cheliceral palm and thus shows similarity with the genus Neochelanops.
