Note. Due to its pedipalpal proportions (femur 2.7, patella 2.7, hand with pedicel 2.1 and chela with pedicel 3.5 times longer than broad) (Beier 1962), the male from Lago Futalaufquen, referred as to Asterochernes kuscheli kuscheli Beier, 1964 by Ceballos & Rosso de Ferradás (2008a), probably belongs to A. kuscheli patagonicus Beier. The nominate subspecies seems to be restricted to Chile.
