Suttonia talaveraensis (Lunaschi, 2002) Lunaschi 2007

Description

* Gymnoacetabulum talaveraensis (Lunaschi, 2002) Lunaschi, 2007

Type host. Myotis levis (Geoffroy) (Mammalia: Molossidae).

Site of infection. Small intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Zárate, Isla Talavera.

Holotype: MLP 4864/1. Paratypes: MLP 4859/2, MLP 4860– MLP 4863/1, MLP 4864/2, MLP 4931– MLP 4935.

Remarks. Lunaschi (2002) originally described this species as Suttonia talaveraensis. However, the genus is preoccupied by Suttonia Smith, 1953 (Pisces, Serranidae), so it was replaced by Gymnoacetabulum Lunaschi & Drago, 2007.
