Absonifibula asymmetria

Description

* Asymmetria asymmetria Suriano, 1975

Type host. Stromateus brasiliensis Fowler (Pisces: Stromateidae).

Site of infection. Gills.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, coast of Mar del Plata.

Holotype: MLP 6432 (cited as MLP P6).

Remarks. This genus was synonymized with Neogrubea Dillon & Hargis, 1968 by Gibson and Meneses (1990) and A. asymmetria was synonymized with Neogrubea soni Evdokimova, 1969.
