Kempnyia obtusa Klapálek 1916

Kempnyia obtusa Klapálek, 1916: 51; Jewett, 1960: 177; Illies, 1966: 340; Zwick, 1972: 1171; Froehlich, 1988: 153.

Material examined: BR, MG, Aiuruoca, Córrego das águas pretas e tributários (S22°3'0.74" W44°38'24.10"), 2 males, 21.xi.2001, RWH, HP, RJB.

Remarks: The description and comments about this species can be found in Zwick (1972) and Froehlich (1988). The adult males studied here have a forewing length of 15.5–17.2 mm. The penial armature agrees with the redescription of Zwick (1972).
