Paracriodion morrisi, sp. nov.

(Figs 3–5)

Description. Male. Integument of head, antennomeres I–V, prothorax and elytron black, shining; antennomeres VI–XI, legs (except extreme apices of femora) and ventral surface (except prosternum) dark reddish brown. Head: dorsally matte with transverse microsulci; gena short, produced in an obtuse protuberance; frons subquadrate; antennal tubercles projected in rounded prominence. Antennae longer than body, extending beyond elytral apices by 2–3 antennomeres; scape and antennomeres IV–V shorter than III, antennomeres VI–X gradually longer, antennomere XI longer than X with distal extremity slightly recurved; antennomeres I–V with scattered long hairs on the ventral surface. Prothorax: slightly longer than wide; pronotum with 5–6 shining, impunctate areas, surrounded by dense deep crateriform punctures. Prosternum without transverse sulci, densely, granulose punctate. Scutellum glabrous, rounded posteriorly. Elytron glabrous, microreticulated, with micropunctures across the whole surface. Elytral apex rounded, sutural angle projected with a small spine. Abdomen micropunctate, urotergite 5 rounded at apex; urosternite 5 transversely truncated. Legs: femorae fusifrom; tibiae densely pilose in the ventral surface, internally bispinose in the distal extremity.

Female. Antennae shorter than body, attaining posterior third of elytra. Last urotergite and urosternite distally truncated.

Measurements (mm), male/female. Total length, 30.0–40.0/31.0–36.0; prothorax length, 7.0–7.5/7.8–8.0; prothorax width, 9.0–10.0/6.8–7.0; elytral length, 19.0–20.8/22.0–25.0; humeral width, 9.0–10.2/9.5–11.0.

Etymology. Named for Roy F. Morris, II, talented collector, avid participant in the Bolivian Cerambycidae project, and collector of the first known specimens.

Type material. Holotype male, BOLIVIA, Santa Cruz, 4 km SSE Buena Vista (Hotel Flora & Fauna), 20.X.2011, Skillman & Wappes col. (MNKM). Paratypes (13 specimens), 4 females (Hotel Flora & Fauna), 17.XI.2003, Morris, Nearns & Wappes col., (ACMT 1; EHNC 1; RFMC 2). 1 female, Santa Cruz, 4km SSE Buena Vista (Hotel Flora & Fauna), 25.XI.2013, Skillman & Wappes (FWSC). 1 male, 2 females, Santa Cruz, Potrerillos del Guenda, Snake Farm, 17° 40’S, 63° 27’ W, 370–400 meters, 2.XII.2013, Skillman & Wappes (FWSC 1m, 1f; SWLC, 1f). male, Santa Cruz: Prov. Andres Ibañez (Potrerillos del Guenda. 17°40' S, 63º27' W, 370 m), 21–27.X.2007, S. W. Lingafelter col.
