Multiformis ramosus sp. nov.

Description. Crown (Fig. 9) light yellow. Pronotum and scutellum (Fig. 9) dirty yellow. Area surrounding ocelli dirty yellow. Eyes dark with some yellow, ocelli nearly translucent (Fig. 9). Face (Fig. 10) black, base of anteclypeus black, apex of anteclypeus yellowish gray. Forewings (Fig. 9) gray yellow and translucent, veins gray black. Hindwings (Fig. 9) gray.

Male pygofer (Fig. 4) triangular, longer than high, attenuate caudally. Subgenital plate (Fig. 5) elongate, with some fine setae on inside submargin and several long setae near apex. Aedeagus (Figs 1–2) somewhat tubular; dorsal apodeme with ventral margin somewhat smooth; processes on side of aedeagal shaft not surpassing midlength of shaft, lamelliform with three preapical spines; aedeagal ventral process slender, curved, longer than shaft, apex forked and asymmetrical. Other male genitalia characteristics as in Figs 1–5.

Female slightly longer than male; general coloration similar to that of male. Sternite VII (Fig. 6) with posterior margin acutely emarginate with small median tooth and acute posterolateral lobes. First valvulae (Fig. 8) elongate, curved dorsad towards apex, dorsal sculpturing indistinctly concatenate, ventral sculpturing imbricate. Second valvulae (Fig. 7) sigmoid, slender in basal 1/2, without median dorsal tooth basad of toothed distal section, only slightly broadened preapically, with numerous close-set conical dorsal teeth subequal in size.

Measurement. Length (including tegmen): , 6.0– 6.2mm; , 7.1mm.

Type material. Holotype , CHINA: Yunnan, Baoshan, Danggang, Baihualing (Fig 14), 5 August 2013, coll.

Fan Zhihua. Paratypes: 2 1 , same data as holotype.

Host plant. Unknown.

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word ramosus (ramal), indicating the shape of the paired lateral processes of the aedeagus.

Remarks: This species resembles Multiformis nigrifacialis Li & Li, but it can be distinguished by the shape of its paired lateral aedeagal processes (Fig. 1).
