Plagiognathus vitellinus (Scholtz, 1847)

Parapsallus vitellinus: Kerzhner & Josifov, 1999.

Plagiognathus vitellinus: Li & Liu, 2010: 103.

Euro-Asian species widely distributed from Europe to Japan, introduced into North America. In Siberia and the Far East, it lives on various species of larch (Larix). In Mongolian Altai the species was collected in a small larch forest from Larix sbibrica growing on a steep shadow slope, on Kanas Lake from the canopy of mature larch trees. First record for Xinjiang.

Material examined. 6 ♂, 4 ♀, Altai, Daqinggeli R., 20 km N of Qinghe 1400–1600 m (46°52'N; 90°20'E) 27.VI.2011 (N. Vinokurov); 1 #, Altai, Kanas Lake, 1370 m (48°42'N; 87°01'E), 1.VII.2011 (N. Vinokurov).
