Description

Genus Leluthia Cameron, 1887

Leluthia Cameron, 1887: 392. Type species (designated by Viereck, 1914): Leluthia mexicana Cameron, 1887 (examined).

Doryctosoma Picard, 1938: 142. Type species (by monotypy): Doryctosoma paradoxum Picard, 1938 (examined). Treated as synonym of Euhecabolodes Tobias, 1962, by Belokobylskij & Tobias (1986).

Russellia Muesebeck, 1950: 78 (preoccupied by Russellia Varga, 1943). Type species (by original designation): Heterospilus astigma Ashmead, 1896. Synonymized by Marsh (1967).

Russellella Muesebeck & Walkley, 1951: 178. New name for Russellia Muesebeck, 1950.

Euhecabolodes Tobias, 1962: 1191. Type species (by original designation): Euhecabolodes minutus Tobias, 1962 (examined). Synonymized with Doryctosoma Picard, 1938, by Belokobylskij & Tobias (1986) and treated as subgenus of Leluthia Cameron, 1887, by Belokobylskij (1998).

Panama Marsh, 1993: 27. Type species (by original designation): Panama canalia Marsh, 1993. Synonymized with Leluthia Cameron, 1887, by Belokobylskij et al. (2004).

Diagnosis. First subdiscal cell of fore wing with distinct opening postero-apically, vein CU1b absent (Figs 11-12); vein 2-SR of fore wing complete; vein r-m of fore wing often absent or nearly so; vein 1-R1 of fore wing at most slightly longer than pterostigma; vein r of fore wing departing basally from middle from pterostigma; hind wing of ♂ with a pterostigma (Fig. 12); vein 1-M of hind wing shorter than vein M+CU (Fig. 11); vein 1r-m of hind wing slightly oblique and shorter than veins 1-M or SC+R; wings with distinct apical fringe of setae; vertex sculptured; mesoscutum with striae or rugae medio-posteriorly; mesosternal sulcus narrow; second tergite often with oblique sublateral grooves.
