Distribution. China (Henan, Hubei, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Yunnan) (Fig. 126).

Discussion. This species is similar to P. hengshani (see discussion of P. hengshani). It is also similar to P. maculoscutellata and may be distinguished by (P. maculoscutellata in parentheses): mesoscutum with white spots (mesoscutum completely black); outer part of hind coxa without white spot (outer part of hind coxa with a large white spot); basal 1/3 of hind femur white (only extreme base of hind femur white); lower posterior mesepisternum with a white stripe (mesepisternum completely black); terga 2–8 posterior each with an extreme narrow white stripe, but no triangular spot (terga 3–6 posterior each with a yellow-white medial triangular spot). Except for the serrulae, reliable morphological differences between these three species were not found.
