Coenosia longiventris Emden 1940

Description

Coenosia longiventris (Emden, 1940: 205)

Holotype female seen; hind legs and abdomen missing.

Diagnosis. General colour brown with grey pollinosity; scutum with three brown vittae; palpus brown; legs yellow; arista short-plumose; scutellum with both pairs of setae present, basal pair short and finer, scutellum with setulae on disc; anterior katepisternal very fine and short; lower calypter about 2.5 times as long as upper one; haltere yellow; fore tibia with a posteroventral seta; hind tibia with one long and strong median anterodorsal seta and one anterior seta, much shorter and inserted a little basad of it.

Notes. Included in the calopoda group. Male unknown.
