Coenosia gilvicornis Emden 1940

Description

Coenosia gilvicornis (Emden, 1940: 189)

Holotype male seen; abdomen glued to a slip of celluloid pinned with the specimen.

Diagnosis. General colour brown with grey pollinosity; scutum with three brown vittae; frons, fronto-orbital plate, face and gena strongly silver; postpedicel yellow; arista with very short hairs, almost bare; scutellum with both pairs of setae developed; anterior katepisternal weak; hind tibia without a posterodorsal seta. Notes. Included in the strigipes group. Known only from the holotype male.
