Terebra aspera Hinds, 1844

Hinds, 1844: 154.

Type locality: ‘ Panama, Monte Christi, St. Elena, west coast of America; in from six to ten fathoms'. Label locality: ‘ Punta St. Elena, West Colombia, 6 to 8 fms’’ (NHMUK 1968234 /1-3), ‘ Monte Christi, West Colombia, 14 fms’ (NHMUK 1979125).

Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1968234/1, 2 paralectotypes NHMUK 1968234/2-3 and 3 paralectotypes NHMUK 1979125 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 212).
