Data for the manuscript entitled Community Seedbanks Core Roles of Fostering Crop Genetic Diversity Conservation and Use Achievable; the Case of Seedbanks in Uganda.'

The data includes the name of the community seedbank, the crop species conserved, the seasons and years of the study, the sex of farmers benefiting from the  seedbank, the village where the farmer comes from, the type of variety distributed, the growing habit of the variety, quantity of seed distributed by the seedbank in kg to each recipient, quantity of seed in kg returned to the seedbank by farmers after growing the seed borrowed and the balance which is  difference between the the quantity in kg of the seed that was supposed to be returned  and the actual quantity returned ( i.e quantity not returned after growing the seed).
