Xylotrechus aper Chevrolat, 1863: 326; Thomson, 1878a: 18 (Type). Type locality: India: TN, Nilghiri Hills (ST); MNHNP. Perissus aper Gahan, 1906: 257 (Fauna).

Distribution: India (S-India; TN: Nilgiri Hills, Madras).
