Description
Palpomya ruficeps (Enderlein, 1912)
Platystoma ruficeps Enderlein, 1912: 370. Holotype. Ethiopia (PAN). Distribution. AF: Egypt [Gebel Elba], Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda. Egyptian localities. Gebel Elba:?.
Dates of collection. March and April.
Remark. This Afrotropical species was listed as recorded from Egypt by Steyskal and El-Bialy (1967), however it is not represented in the Egyptian insect collections and its presence in Egypt is uncertain.
