Aegiptophorus shibinensis Sevastianov and Abo-Korah, 1984

Aegiptophorus shibinensis Sevastianov and Abo-Korah, 1984, p. 1798, Figs 1 (1-8).

Heteropygmephorus onthophagi Kurosa, 2002: p. 30, Figs 1–5.

This species was described from soil in Egypt (Sevasianov & Abo-Korah 1984). Later on, Kurosa (2002) recorded it in Japan phoretic on five species of dung beetles of the genus Onthophagus.

This is the first record of this species from Sri Lanka and on beetles of the subfamily Orphninae.

Material examined. SRI LANKA: 2 females on Orphnus mysoriensis, Kala Oya, 7.II.1983.
