Description

Genus Stemmops O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1894

Type species: Stemmops bicolor O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1894 (by original designation and monotypy)

Composition and distribution. 27 species, including the five new species described here. Stemmops includes 17 species exclusive from Neotropical Region, three species exclusive from Nearctic Region, one species exclusive from Palearctic Region, three species exclusive from Oriental Region and three species shared by Neotropical and Neartic Region.
