Lepidura collaris Townes, 1971

Diagnosis: Antenna brown. Body almost entirely bluish green. Head slightly darker around ocelli. Pronotum, mesothorax, anterior margin of all tibiae, posterior margin of hind tibia, all tarsi, anterior margin of T2 and T3, metasomal segments 6–9, gonoforceps (male), hypopygium and ovipositor sheath (female), dark brown. Costula absent. Anterior transverse carina of propodeum absent. Propodeum without areola, smooth (Fig. 2).
Type material: Holotype female (USU, examined).
Type locality: CHILE: Región de la Araucanía: Caracautín (Río Blanco).

Región de Bío-Bío: Alto Caicupul, Las Cabras, Las Trancas, Pichimahuel (Dasch, 1974). Región del Maule: Coigual, El Coipo (Dasch, 1974). Región de Los Lagos: Ensenada, Puerto Montt (Dasch, 1974). Región de Los Ríos: Puerto Fuy (Dasch, 1974).
Material Examined: 1 female: Holotype, Curacautin, Malleco, Rio Blanco, Chile, Feb, 1964, Luis Peña (USU). 1 female: Rio Blanco, Curacautin, Malleco, Chile, 27-31-I-1959, L.E. Peña (CNC). 1 male: Cherquenco, Cautin, Chile, I-II.1954, L.E. Peña (CNC). 1 female: RA Neuquén, S. Martin Andes, Pucará, Jan.’70, Schajovskoy coll (FSCA). 1 female: Las Trancas, Cord. Nuble, 9, 11-Marzo-52, Coll: L. E. Pena (FSCA).
