Caprodon schlegelii (Günther, 1859)

Anthias schlegelii Günther, 1859

Holotype: RMNH D 279.

Type locality: Nagasaki, Japan. Illustrations: Katayama, 1960, pls. 17 & 18; Kuiter 2004:99, figs. A–D.

D: X, 19 to 21. A: III, 7 or 8. P: 16 or 17. C: 17 (9 + 8). V: 26 (10 + 16). S: 3. GR: 29 to 33 (8 to 10 + 21 to 24). LL: 55 to 61. CP: 28 or 29.

Distribution: southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific, antitropical.
