Masteria aimeae: Raven, 2000: 573.

Type. CUBA. ♂ holotype, La Cuaba (20°53’19”N; 76°15’26”W), Holguín, deposited in MNHNC, examined.

Additional material examined. CUBA. Camaguey: Cayo Sabinal (21°40’0”N; 77°18’0”W), 1 immature. 04.VI.2012, A. Sanchez leg. (IBSP 167156); Guantanamo: Imias, Subida a La Farola, Rio Yumuri (27°7’28.08”N; 74°28’53.85”W), 1♀, 12.V.2010, A. Sanchez leg. (IBSP 167155).

Diagnosis. Males of Masteria aimeae resemble those of M. golovatchi in having a group of megaspines on tibia I, but differ in the elongated palpal bulb and embolus (Fig. 20B). Females resemble those of those of M. golovatchi in the spermathecae having a dense basal glandular region and projected base of spermathecae but differ in the unequal size of the lobes, with a less projected base (Fig. 20D).

Description. Male (Holotype). Color: carapace in dorsal view yellowish, carapace in ventral view, legs and abdomen whitish. Body measurements, see Alayón, 1995, p. 2–5. Spination: see Alayón, 1995: 2-5. Tibia I with four to six strong prolatero-apical spines and metatarsus with six to eight prolatero strong spines (Fig. 20C). Palpal tibia 2.5 times length of cymbium, with row of dorsal and ventral elongated slender setae. Cymbium as long as wide with five apical spines and two on prolateral lobe. Palpal bulb with curved embolus, largest than length of tegulum (Fig. 20A–B). PLS: basal, medial and apical, 0.35, 0.40, 0.38 long.
