Parastenopsylla Yang 1984

Description

Parastenopsylla sp.

Distribution. India: Tamil Nadu (Kandasamy 1980, 1986, misidentified as Trioza gigantea).

Host plant. Vaccinium neilgherrense (Ericaceae).

Comments. Kandasamy (1980, 1986) reported psyllids galls on Vaccinium neilgherrense that he referred to Trioza gigantea. This is a likely misidentification of a Parastenopsylla sp. See also comments on Stenopsylla gigantea.
