Falconius pseudoclavitarsis Günther, 1938
Type material examined. 1♀ SYNTYPE Midden O-Borneo 29.XI.1925. Leg. H. C. Siebers, 1♂ SYNTYPE Midden O-Borneo 11.VIII.1925. Leg. H. C. Siebers (MTD), 1♀ SYTYPE Midden O-Borneo 4.IX.1925. Leg. H. C. Siebers, 1♂ SYNTYPE Midden O-Borneo 30.IX.1925. Leg. H. C. Siebers (NCB). Photographs of the syntypes are available online in OSF: 1♂
Type locality: Middle East Borneo.
Notes. In some parts of the publication, Günther (1938) refers to this species as F. pseudoplanitarsis. However, there is no described species with such epitheton and we believe that Günther (1938) refers to F. pseudoclavitarsis, because in all the type labels and in the original description it is written in such way. The species is true Falconius, close in morphology to F. deceptor.
