4. Phyllotrella fumingi sp. nov.

Type material: Holotype: ♂: CHINA, Guangdong, Longmen, Nankun Mountain, 28.VII.2010, leg, Haoyu Liu. Paratypes: 2♂: CHINA, Guangdong, Nanling, 13.VIII.2010, leg, Haoyu Liu; 1♂: CHINA, Guangdong, Nanling, 16.VIII.2010, leg, Haoyu Liu.

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to P. transversa sp. nov., but differs from the phallus very strong; ectoparameron fold obviously to the abdomen, and apical part of bend backward; subgenital plate slightly narrowed posteriorly, with slightly emarginated posterior margin in middle.

Description. Male (Fig. 6). Body medium sized, pubescent. Head of subequal width with anterior margin of pronotum. Frontal rostrum flat, scapus almost 1.9 times as wide as frontal rostrum. Eyes slightly bulging. Lateral ocelli small, granular, medial ocellus slightly oval and not projecting. Pronotum distinctly widening posteriorly with lateral margins of disc angularly rounded into paranota. Tegmina with 3 long and 3 short oblique veins, lateral field with 14–16 subcostal veinlets, apical field rather regular; mirror slightly longer than broad (11: 10). Hind wings distinctly longer than tegmina. Metanotal gland (Fig. 18) large with upper half lateral margin normal and slightly swollen, length–width ratio (16: 17), an acute angle protruding at posterior margin. Anterior tibia swollen at tympana, internal tympanum with a long slit–like opening on posterior side; external tympanum ovoid, free.

Supra anal plate (Fig. 21) is connected at the end and covered with short hairs except for the central part, the posterior margin almost round. Subgenital plate slightly narrowed posteriorly, with slightly emarginated posterior margin in middle. Phallus (Figs. 13–15): epiphallus slightly long, with a pair of serrated protuberance at the end. Ectoparameron fold obviously to the abdomen with long lateral lobe, and apical part of ectoparameron bent backwards.

Coloration. Body greenish when alive. Head with narrow longitudinal yellow and black stripes behind eyes. Antennae brownish. Disc of pronotum with a pair of round black spots on the middle, and with yellowish stripes along lateral edges. Tegmen with dark brown veins, and with a yellowish stripe along lateral edge of dorsal area, and with black spot on basal area. All legs almost yellowish.

Female. unknown.

Measurements (mm). Male: body length 18.5–21.5, length with wings 27.0–28.5, pronotum 3.4–3.7, tegmen19.5–21.5, hind femur 11.0–12.0.

Etymology. This species is named after Professor Shi fuming, an expert in Orthoptera classification from China.
