Specimens examined. 1♀, 1♂, Senecio sp., Solenoozerny area, BSBR, 0 7.06.1992, L. Bondarenko; 11♀♀, 3♂♂, 7DN, 1PN, 1L, Centaurea sp., Solenoozerny area, BSBR (46°27'N, 31°59'E), 15.06.2015, O. Zhovnerchuk.
Tetranychus similis was previously recorded in the steppe zone of Ukraine and was able to inhabit various herbaceous plants (Akimov, 1965). Senecio sp. is a new recorded host plant for T. similis.
