Lectotype (Martínez Ortega & al. in Taxon 50: 553. 2001): Herb. Burser XIV(1): 55 (UPS).
Current name: Veronica prostrata L. (Scrophulariaceae).
Note: Fischer (in Österr. Bot. Zeitschr. 122: 289. 1973) discussed the application of the name by a succession of authors but did not typify the name in the sense of Linnaeus.
