Lectotype (designated here by Rainer): [icon] " Xylopicron arbor Barbadensibus " in Plukenet, Phytographia: t. 238, f. 4. 1692; Almag. Bot.: 395. 1696. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 98: 117 (BM-SL).
Current name: Annona squamosa L. (Annonaceae).
Note: See Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 3: 199. 1914) who, however, did not make a formal choice of type.
