Description
This is a confidential deliverable submitted under ATLAS project. The Ethical Methods statement details the procedures which will be followed for research involving human participants during ATLAS.
The University of Edinburgh (UEDIN) as coordinator of ATLAS will adopt the UEDIN School of Geosciences Ethical Framework for research involving human participants and will require ATLAS partners engaged in research with human participants to adhere to these guidelines. This will ensure that the ethical standards and guidelines of Horizon 2020 will be rigorously applied, regardless of the country in which the research is carried out. All participant institutions are required to comply with the EU directive 95/46/EC on data protection and with any updates on standards or requirements it might receive during the lifetime of the project. The EC’s requirements are stipulated in Article 34 – Ethics.
