Description

Remora remora (Linnaeus, 1758).

Remora. To 86.4 cm (34 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to southern Kuril Islands (Parin 2003); in eastern Pacific from Washington (Hughes 1985) to Chile (Pequeño 1989), including central and southern Gulf of California (Robertson and Allen 2002), and Islas Galápagos (Grove and Lavenberg 1997). Pelagic; depth: surface to 300 m (984 ft) (min.: Robertson and Allen 2015; max.: Sánchez-Jiménez et al. 2018).
