Description

Pseudophallus starksii (Jordan & Culver, 1895).

Shortnosed Pacific Freshwater Pipefish; Pez Pipa de Hocico Corto, Pez Palo, Trompetero.

Distribution: Global: Middle America; from Baja California, Mexico, to Ecuador, Pacific drainages; Costa Rica: Ni, Te, Be, Ba, Ta, Pi, Tr and Co (Pacific), 0– 155 m.a.s.l., Per, Dia.

Occurrence and conservation status: Nat, LC.
